STEVE PETILLI
Steve has built a career at the intersection of innovation, investment, and execution. He founded Pivotal Technologies, later sold to Broadcom, and Networks In Motion, later acquired by TeleCommunication Systems. He later became CEO of Bitcentral after serving on its board for more than twenty years, and he remains active as both an investor and venture leader. Through Cove Fund, based at The Cove at UC Irvine Beall Applied Innovation, he is part of one of Southern California’s most active early stage startup ecosystems.
For a panel on how AI is transforming the way investors, founders, and Catholic business leaders evaluate risk, opportunity, and trust, Steve brings rare credibility. He has not only watched markets change. He has built through those changes, exited successfully, and now helps invest in what comes next. He also brings the perspective of a Catholic leader, currently serving as President of the San Juan Capistrano Legatus chapter, a volunteer organization dedicated to helping Catholic business leaders study, live, and spread the faith in their professional and personal lives.
KARIM CHEHADÉ
Karim has spent much of his career at the intersection of capital and technology. His background includes senior investment roles at Experian Ventures and Assurant Ventures, as well as a Venture Partner role at ResilienceVC. That experience has given him a front row seat to how serious investors evaluate innovation, identify durable opportunities, and distinguish between what is merely exciting and what is truly transformative. Karim is currently Co-Founder at Truthly AI, a fast growing early stage Catholic AI platform (~250,000 downloads).
For a panel on artificial intelligence, that perspective is invaluable. Karim brings not only venture experience, but also the perspective of a Catholic builder. As a co-founder of Truthly, he is helping develop an AI platform rooted in the mission of helping Catholics better understand, live, and share their beliefs. He brings to this discussion both the discipline of an investor and the deeper concern of someone asking how technology can serve truth, trust, and the human person.
Come pray together during Mass and connect with one another during our networking reception.
